In celebration of Magee-Womens Hospital's 100th anniversary, the Magee Mosaic was created as a photographic tribute to our past, present and future. The illustration for the mosaic represents "Generations of Women Throughout the Seasons of Life" and was created by award-winning Pittsburgh artist, Mark Bender.

The finished mural hangs in the lobby at Magee, where visitors to the hospital can enjoy its beauty and interact with the piece through a touch screen device. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who participated in the hospitalís 100th anniversary and who donated to the mosaic project. All proceeds are supporting the Patient Care Fund.

Giving to Magee after the Mosaic
If you wish to further support Magee-Womens Hospital or the Magee-Womens Research Institute, be assured that 100 percent of your donation will help Magee to grow and enhance services, and meet the ever-changing health care needs of women, infants and men in the Pittsburgh region and beyond.

Gifts impact a variety of hospital and research institute programs, projects, and services.

You may direct your gift:
  • To advance a particular research endeavor, such as women's cancers
  • To ensure Magee staff are trained in state-of-the-art medical technology
  • To support your favorite Magee doctor or nurse
  • To provide assistance to patients for things not covered by most insurance companies including wigs for those enduring chemotherapy and/or radiation treatments, emergency lodging for family members of patients, medications, and much more
